JESUS COMMAND CENTER

-The resurgent End-time Jesus Movement

Great news coming from Islamic countries with very little or no Christian minorities, where it is a heinous crime of apostasy for Muslims to convert to Christ and for any Christian to evangelize Muslims, assert that very many Muslims  are secretly converting to Christ at a steady pace, despite the huge punishment and even death through so-called family honor murders and  government approved imprisonment through laws expressly promulgated for  such conversions. It is said that through a combination of the activities of our Lord Jesus Christ himself appearing in multiple places simultaneously sporadically in NDEs - near death experiences, dreams and visions to people of Islamic birth and background in his single - minded revolution for the present time, and those of the end – time Jesus’ movement that undertake the very risky evangelistic and missionary presence in these countries through the underground churches, deep inroads are helping the conversions.

The basic spiritual principles of works and rituals of Islam and that of love and grace of Christianity, which are not only mutually uncomplimentary but actually mutually antagonistic are helping to forge a dichotomy that several Muslims are getting to appreciate for what each stands for, and their levels of abilities to assuage the foments in the hearts of our inquiring Muslim brothers and sisters. It is not possible that by their works and rituals they can gain ascension to heaven, as taught by Islam, whereas Christ’s love and grace suffice, as taught by Christianity. I am a former Muslim who understands this conflict of positions on salvation very well.

Sometimes, it comes by the simple innocuous observation that Jesus Christ couldn’t just be a prophet as proselytized by Islam; and the daring judgment that Jesus Christ was either a liar and impostor or he is who he boldly claims to be – The Son of God, which is the Bible position and which is a forbidden declaration to Muslims, drummed into them from childhood. From that point onwards, the convictions slowly take shape in the mind of the true and sincere inquiring Muslim. The first step really is for the Muslim to dare to ask questions about somewhat conflicting and confusing quranic teachings which is very forbidden, since the Quran is declared absolutely infallible. Christians too have issues they want to settle in their walk with Christ, but the difference is that nobody sees a move like that as a sin. And nobody is punished or suspected to be on the road to apostasy by questioning biblical injunctions, not even if they criticize the Bible. This freedom in Christianity is extremely refreshing and liberating to the escaping from prison sincere seeker Muslim. I went through the process, so I understand it, as a first-hand experience. Jesus Christ’s emphasis on agape love and mercy while seriously rebuking sin in all its ramifications is deeply settling to the agitated minds of the inquiring Muslim.

Matt 11:28-30

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

As for the woman caught in adultery Jesus Christ asks –

John 8:3-9

3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

This was another trap like the one of asking if it was right for Jews to pay tax to Ceasar, in Mattew 22:21, set by the Pharisees and priests seeking to make Jesus Christ say anything that they could desperately twist to find a religious fault with.

John 8:10-12

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Here Jesus Christ teaches mercy, without condoning sin. The woman has been taught the virtue of showing mercy and strictly admonished never to sin again. Go and sin more. The stoning of women caught in adultery still goes on with Jews and Muslims. The principal fault here is that only the woman is caught and stoned to death. But adultery cannot be committed by a woman alone. The question is where is her partner? If there’s no partner, then adultery is impossible. Or is adultery a sin for only women? Are men exempted from that sin? For all you know maybe her sin partner has joined the throng of stoners lining up to stone her to death. Additionally, those preparing to stone her were also serious sinners, and are also guilty of perhaps more heinous sins than adultery. So, from the beginning, this form of twisted interpretation of the laws of Moses was wrong. Though nobody had the guts to challenge it down the ages, the supreme wisdom of Jesus Christ resolved the burning issue without making the Pharisees and priests look bad, in their erroneous interpretation of Moses’ laws.

In China, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, and Afghanistan, Christian evangelism is strictly forbidden, and Christian missionaries are in danger of imprisonment if they try to evangelize the Muslim population. Though Syria and Iraq have had Christian minorities since the years immediately following the execution of Jesus Christ, restrictions to Christian activities exist, to the point of encouraging a dwindling of the Christian population. There are no such laws in Christian or Christian majority countries, where mosques and Islam proliferate with total freedom. Muslims even go to such lengths of asking for shariah laws to be introduced for Muslims, in Christian majority countries.

Christian minorities operate mostly in underground or secret home-based Churches, in some of these Muslim countries. No wonder our Lord and Savior says it is time for his personal intervention. Glory be to God Almighty.

Matt 11:25-30

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Whereas the Christian believer is assured of his eternal destination as declared by Jesus Christ when he declared:

John 14:6

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

A Muslim really doesn’t have this assurance. He has to wait until the day of judgment when his sins are weighed against his blessings or good deeds. The holy prophet of Islam said he didn’t even know where was going after death. Quran 46:8-9 and Hadith Sahih Bukhari 5673. Quran 48:2 however declares that while showing humility, the prophet was of success and forgiveness, confirming his ultimate honor and high status in the afterlife. Out of the 99 names of Allah, it is disturbing that none is FATHER, which should be the most appropriate name for God Almighty, as clearly declared by Jesus Christ.

John 10:30

30 I and my Father are one.

Belief in Jesus Christ makes God Almighty also our father. MBB – Muslim Background Believers now have ministries that focus on assisting new converts from Islam Christianity eschewing countries to find their way to countries where they can serve Jesus Christ in absolute freedom. The trend goes on unabated as the assault on the kingdom of darkness continues as the second advent of Jesus Christ is at the door, and Christians wait expectantly for the catching away of the Church universal of Jesus Christ, which will mark the end of the Church age and the beginning of the open reign of the Antichrist. This will also mark the beginning of the prophet Daniels 70th week.

In Iran in particular the Church has been under a very hostile regime that is determined to destroy every appearance of Christianity. I am definitely certain that the current upheavals has to do with the return of our Lord and Savior. So those who are seeking to help in this end-time evangelism must prepare to share in the burden of this evangelism and its concomitant risks as much as possible. Jesus Christ is coming very soon. What will meet you doing?

I remain your servant in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST.
