The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and The Absolute Infallibility of The Quran.

THE CRUCIFIXION OF JESUS CHRIST VS THE ABSOLUTE INFALLIBILITY OF THE HOLY QURAN.

As a very young Muslim lad, I was raised to believe in the ABSOLUTE infallibility of The Holy Quran. And I believed that with the whole of my mind, until I got to the age of critical thinking in literature. Carrying out an objective critique is an art you either take totally seriously, applying it to everything or you totally leave alone. I had already applied it to many writings, including the Bible.

Very reluctantly I decided to apply it to the Quran. I was shocked to find frightening claims and assertions that were totally wrong and inaccurate. This is not meant for everybody because most people are spiritually indolent and complacent. They are just there because daddy and mommy are there. Or because “we were brought up like this.” Or “That is how we met our parents doing it.” So the attitude of Christian believers to the Bible which they are ready to investigate fearlessly to establish its facts or inaccuracies is very spiritually liberating.

In Surah An-Nisa 157 the Quran claims that Jesus Christ wasn’t crucified but someone else was crucified in his place. But there are other authors who have corroborated the crucifixion. I mean other sources that have no reason to lie. I mean writers who are not enamored with Jesus Christ or Christianity, and who might actually be totally unaffected with the Jesus’s movement one way or the other. As you get bolder and more courageous the flood gates to such discoveries opens up and you’re totally stupefied. The so called absolute infallibility falls into the realms of myth.

In Islam, there’s a fearful mental attitude that warns you NEVER to even ask deeply penetrating questions that agitate your mind. Infact too much such questions may even earn you a very serious warning not to “question the holy book.” And if you continue, you’re branded apostate. So the holy book and its religion make it impossible to be researched for flaws, falsehoods, mistakes, inaccuracies, etc.

But when you venture into that terrain and discover one, the highway to discovering more opens up and you’re astonished at how misleading several injunctions come through to those who are unfortunately not true SEEKERS. The true seeker is fearless and seeks only one thing- THE TRUTH.

Even as a convinced Christian, I have still gone on to examine the Grail Message, and The Admonitions of Abd ul Rushin, Lao Tze, Islam and Mohammed, Baghadva Gita, Lord Krishna, Zoroaster, etc. I have come away with the total conviction that Jesus Christ is the sum total of all required to please God while on earth here. Please don’t misunderstand my position. Hold on to the Bible, read it. Meditate on it, and don’t allow the teachings of all kinds of doctrines mislead you. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
