INTERACTION WITH MBBS LIKE ME. Part1

As an MBB – MUSLIM BACKGROUND BELIEVER myself, I like to advise other MBBS to beware of Christians but hold on tightly to The Bible, because you’re going to come to situations in which the only advice you need is only from The Bible. Many practices and actions you see so called Christians readily do are often outside the word of God. When God calls you, he does not always give you a road map stating the trials, challenges and temptations you are going to face along the way. No, he doesn’t. Therefore, you must follow and walk along by faith, holding on tightly to The Bible which I consider the most authoritative WORD of God Almighty.

As a former Muslim, you would want to hold on tightly to scriptures. You did not leave Islam for Christ and went through all the threats from your Muslim kith and kin only to practice or do anything that does not come from The Bible, simply because “everybody’s doing it.” It will be mostly the same excuse during the taking of the mark of the beast, the number 666. Very many will take it for that spiritually lame reason – EVERYBODY IS DOING IT.

Not everybody that has a Christian sounding name is necessarily a Christian. A true Christian must have made a clear and definite declaration to belong to Jesus Christ and say the conversion prayer, declaring themselves a new person belonging to Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior from that moment onwards. That is what is known as the new birth in Christ Jesus.

In Islamic communities, polygamy is practiced. A Muslim man who has the means can marry up to four wives. And MARRIAGE is built on some rigid rules. In what people say are “Christian” communities” nowadays, people just date and have children. There are very many “Baby fathers” and “Baby Mothers” Both men and women have multiple such relationships. There are also Christians who are very properly and happily married with exceptionally fine Christian families. But right now, they are in the minority. The modern and sophisticated way to go is to have kids outside marriage.

When I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I searched for a Christian gathering or congregation to worship God and his Christ. The doctrine that places emphasis on prosperity though very appealing, did not give me the satisfaction I needed. I therefore shifted my search to the focus on holiness, where condemnation of sin and the wages of sin together with regular warnings about hell, were often preached. My observation was that holiness would bring prosperity, while prosperity may not bring holiness. Indeed, prosperity might even often bring backsliding. A lot of money in your pocket will lead to an easy life which will also lead to temptation and backsliding in most cases.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

I found that holiness congregations were a very safe haven for me. I settled there and worshipped with the brethren.
